I've bought a 350 cylinder barrel from an auto jumble for my bullet, after removing the old barrel I compared it to the new one only to find that the 1/4" stud hole on the base joint is about 1/2" closer to the centre line of the engine (crankcase joint)than the barrel I have taken off. The push rod holes are about 1/4" closer to the centre line also. Clearly it's not the right barrel, can anybody tell me what model it is for?

Thanks for the quick reply Alan, it's a Redditch bullet engine I was trying to fit it to, mine is a 1959 model. I don't know how to load pictures on to here. It came with the head and new piston from a rebore/engineering company, the barrel was rebored and never picked up, years ago. I would like to know what it is to be able to get rid of it. Useful to someone.

I think I've worked it out from the on line parts book, 1949-1955 350 Bullet, the base gasket is a different number than my 1959 Bullet and it's not a clipper barrel (no tappet access) and I am sure that it is Redditch made because the castings are so nice. Thanks for looking Alan.

Thanks Paul, you beat me to it, I think so too, just have to get rid of a recon barrel and head now.
