Hi. I need to purchase or loan a deep 3/4 whit socket. Its not for my Bullet but to remove the steering wheel of my Morris. Yes I am a glutton for punishment. Can anyone help ?

3/4 Whitworth should be 33.02mm (1.3") across flats but may not be, as during WWII nut sizes were reduced to save metal! If you can measure across the flats, you may find a box spanner in Whitworth, Metric or AF that will fit.

Amazon, not cheap though, about £25 but at least they appear to be available.

----------- I used to work on Morris Minor 1000 vans when on the GPO (That's the Royal Mail to you yung 'unz) and seem to remember using one of those combination wheel nut spanners to do that job---- usually to replace the felt bush at the top of the steering column, I think )...........

Thanks chaps. I found a box spanner for £10 at The Vintage Tool Company. Have a look at their web site, they have a lot of interesting stuff. Terry
