Well gents my trusty if somewhat temperamental 350 bullet is back on the road after many problems with the gears and clutch , the problem seems to have been not one but two issues ,one being the kick start return stop had sheared and the stop had dropped into the gearbox floating around the gears , luckily not getting jammed in any of the gears when the bike was in motion except it was preventing selection of the gears when I tried to change gear ,secondly the clutch rod was worn and the end plate was also worn ,all parts have now been purchased from our hosts and fitted with the result gears now can be selected and clutch disengages as it should, so I went for a test run on Wednesday and no apparent problems apart from the normal oil leak from the bottom of the engine when hot which I believe is to be expected.
Just to say once again thanks for all the tips and advice from you all , I am now fingers crossed looking forward to some pleasurable rides on the said bike.
