I am currently restoring a 1962 crusader. the seat frame which is attached to the rear mudguard assembly seems to hook into the frame and then attached by two bolts to the fixed frame (at the top of the rear shocks. It seems unstable as the seat frame is only attached by these tow washer points? Am i missing something?

Sounds about right, once the shockers are tightened it is solid unless something else is broken

Thanks Norm. Would you know te best place to send an engine to be completely repaired/assessed. I am the west of Ireland, so is imagine I would have to send to England/wales.
