To add to the topic, Indian engines, forks, casquettes, tanks, rear mudguard stays, seats and centre stands all fit pre 56 Redditch frames. Swinging arms and shockers take a bit more fiddling. The QD Indian rear hub also fits pre 56 swinging arms provided the left hand axle slot is opened out by 2mm.

Ok so I'm now about to fit a Bullet rear wheel to the 700 Meteor because the Bullet has a QD back wheel but I then have to work out how to fit the speedo drive to the Bullet wheel. Any thoughts there, otherwise I might have to fit a Bullet front wheel as well and then I might as well fit Bullet forks and a disc brake. Did close to a 1000 miles on it over the weekend and at some stages hitting close to 70mph

If you look at the photos of Indian rear wheels on fleabay some have slots for the speedo drive and some don't.

Don't know Norm because mine has an Indian front TLS as well so the speedo's on the front.

We have surplus rear wheels here now because they are fitting wider rims with disc brakes on some of the Carberrys. Had 4 Carberrys on last weekends ride

Are they a limited recourse Norm or are the motors still being made?

All over now Simon, but they are great bikes, even Pauls original one is still going great, he was riding it on the weekend

I thought I'd heard that they had halted production. Sad really there is nothing like a lazy V2.
