Thanks Chris. I am happy with it now. Before it just looks a mess and now it has style. IMHO. Alan, my brother is a film maker and is back in the UK and Christmas he says we can make something up. He has all sorts of tricks. He's an editor for Comedy Central don't you know... OoooooooEeeeee.

Just an alternative approach to this. My bike is an '89 "Enfiled" and the paintwork on the tank was similar or worse than Matt's. I made various attempts to improve it, to no avail. What I did was to contact Watsonian Squire, who supplied a tank removed from a bike they were cafe racering, for a very modest sum. The bike instantly looked fab, plus of course it is now a "ROYAL Enfield", much classier.
Now of course, they won't be getting any more classics to take the tanks from, but they may have a few left.

I still have the old tank, and one day I'm going to strip it and get it custom painted to look really cool!
