Im now getting close to the big start up after the connies restoration. Ive looked in the books on the carb section on how to set the carbs (no problem there) but no mention of the pilot screws. eg screw in then 1 or 2 turns out then run and tune each caarb. My question is screw the pilot screw in and then how many turns out as a starting point? Alan Bournville Birmingham

Al, set throttle stops to 10 thou (feeler gauges or I use 5 amp fuse wire,) and pilots 1.25 to 1.5 turns out. Then fine adjustment when well warmed up. Good luck!
