I've just stripped my wife's Electra X to replace crank and mains and grey sealant had been used between the crankcases with quite a lot squeezed iside and set so I know what you mean Robin, but I'm more worried about Norms comment about drilling out the under barrel breather stub... can somebody give me a link to any posts on this - is it something I should be doing now while the engine is in bits ?
