Makes me now wonder if this was the problem I was having when my crossbred was chewing up NGK's last year when we rode around Tassie. When I get the bike back from a mate I will check. He has only had 1 plug fail on it in the 3 months since he borrowed it but in Tassie I was getting about 150 ks before the plugs failed. I was buying them in six packs so could be the cause. Packets and most plugs would have been binned long ago

Slight deviation now, I have just fitted a Pazon ignition unit to the 54 Meteor and low and behold the NGK plug caps that are part of the kit are both duds, one allows a weak spark the other nill. I now wonder if there are fake NGK plug caps as well The coil throws an amazing spark about inch long. Anybody know how to remove the resistors in these caps?

The Champion plug I am using now is made in Mexico, no problem at present.
