Hi there,
I've got a 1995 Enfield India 500 Bullet and she wont charge. I've followed Mr H's charging problem guide and my alternator failed the test so,that's been replaced. Also fitted a new battery as no idea how old the old one was.
Checked the earths and cleaned where needed, but, I had to replace the negative battery connecter and while doing so, I discovered some corrosion in with the loom.
I think the loom is shot but, I would appreciate and ideas, opinions or advice.
Thanks in advance

Hi there, it was fitted with a PowerBox by the previous owner, starts and runs great apart from the charging. I'll have a look at the rest of the loom tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestions. Regards, John

hi john ,at the risk of being slated (nowt new there)i have a colleague who has a power box fitted,he very seldom runs his bike with the lights on and has had several charging related issues ,although in fairness to the power box his wiring also resembles a rats nest ,atb paul.

Hi there, cleaned earth, connections. Now no indicators & not charging. Think quickest option is just to bin loom and replace it.
Thanks again for advice.

Trouble is the modern Enfield loom is pretty crap. You'd do better to rewire it yourself if you have the ability.
