I know this is a common problem and there have been past posts on here about it but i have just replaced my clutch cable and am unable to stop the clutch dragging which is preventing neutral from being selected. Can someone please remind me of any pointers please? Many thanks in anticipation.

Thanks for the posts guys.I'll try the method oulined by WS on the realclassic website as the other method doesn't seem to be working. The new cable is nylon lined and i'm not sure they need lubing. As to the route i have studiously followed the original.

Martin,
The underlying problem is that the gearbox housing expands at a greater rate than the steel push rod and therefore the cable/shaft requires adjusting when in heavy traffic and backing off again when riding in the open. The only other alternative is to fit our hosts bearing clutch push pad and slightly adjust the shaft so it has no slack and let the bearing do the work

Thanks Norm.I've spent enough on my bike recently with the sprag etc but at least i now know there's another solution open to me.

Edward-i thought as much and i didn't lube it before fitment-just as well then!
