Hi De Hi Alan, You still are in a minority here I think. 63. Mere whippersnapper?
F.Y.I: As mentioned, my bike seems to be flying along at the moment.
Set up as: Main 117.5. Pilot: 27.5. Needle Jet: PO
Throttle Needle clip is in the bottom groove (richest). All is fine at 1/2 throttle +, still some weak/flat spots below that opening, but I could live with it. EG: In top, slowing down to 30+, will start "hunting", but open it up a tad, and it wants to pull like a train, response and pick-up is instant. I can do this in all gears at all the lower speeds in fact, like being in too high a gear at too low a speed, that kind of effect, difference being, the big single effect and the torque means it will pick-up instantly and take off? It's now a sort of characteristic that I've not had before with this bike. As mentioned previously, it's like a completely different beast. I'll keep it like this for now, as not sure what else I can do to "tweak" it further.

Regards BT

I don't quite brim the tank to avoid the little seepage that you can get at the cap, but based on that my records of mileage and petrol over the year or so I have had the bike show an average of 96mpg (standard Electra X), lowest around 87, highest in high 90's but never over 100mpg Last 3 tankfuls have been Premium instead of supermarket unleaded, and it looks to improve mpg as well as smooth running. Mostly back roads and occasional motorways, but not hanging around, always 50ish, any good stretch of road is 60ish, motorways often near 70....all as indicated on speedo, no clever calculations!
