ALAN R ,don,t mention the clutch cable!!!! stainless, you have to be careful what you ask on here ,as some contributors are very protective of our host ,and dare not raise any problems regarding anything that they sell ,but i being a member of the reoc hear the horror stories from the membership local to me that have been supplied with substandard parts from out host, its bound to happen quality control makes me wonder ?look at the field spike it broke they took it off sale, certain individual bought a silencer the baffles fell out only to be told ,we had a faulty batch! but the faulty batch was not recalled ! but in fairness MR H RESOLVED THE SILENCER PROBLEM i was told to return the field spike ,but i wanted to retain it so i made the offending part any way, good luck with your big end bush ,stainless and welcome aboard

Hi Alan...up to when you said the Indian ones were Metric I had always thought they must be the same, I can't imagine why they would have needed to change unless the the threads on the pin ends were changed to metric but that would not have changed the bush size necessarilly. I reckon you need to find out just for the record Alan....LOL.....my feeling is that they are the same. I would always recommend the roller conversion....the bush seems to be the curse on the Bullet engine, some get an excellent long life out of them them some only achieve a few thousand....who needs that kind of worry?

The Indian big end bush will fit [certainly post '55] Redditch machines and even the unit 350 Bullet. The metric 'difference' only applies to crank mainshaft and main bearing dimensions. Where some of these bushes originate from and how long they might last is anybody's guess, but a good quality plain bush will go for a very long time as long as it is getting a reasonable amount of clean oil fed into it. -- Paul.
