To update.
After cleaning gasket and mating surfaces,refitted Tappet cover with some gasket sealant and my oil leak is gone. I'm liking not having a dirty back end (as the actress said to the bishop). So far no mayo or mango chutney. Hoping chain will still receive sufficient mist to keep it wet. Thinking about Tappet cover with neoprene seal for ease of reuse. Or the relief valve kit? Anyone any views on its value? Just been for a quick thrash(naughty me), she's all good right now. Good luck fellow RE riders

Just to address another concern you mentioned in your original post, have a look here. I did this mod 1000miles ago and haven't adjusted the cable once since.

I would do that mod in a flash but as I don't have a workspace available it makes jobs like this tricky. Don't suppose you fancy making a kit up for me? I can drill the cover and fit it no problem. Money is no object (I wish), I'd pay a fair price. Ta
