W650/800 and the V7 are all very good/nice bikes Alan. You wouldn't go wrong with either.
I considered them, along with the Hinckley Bonnie, before I bought my Electra XS new five years ago. They were all pretty much the same cost as the Enfield, which looked to be inferior in every way to all the others, but I bought it because I wanted to be different (mine is the first of only 40 produced).
The thing is that a Kwacker, Guzzi or Trumpet wouldn't have any starter issues - or probably indeed ANY of the issues that I have had with mine!
So do I regret buying my Electra? NO!
Would I buy another? YES! I will have a new Continental GT 535 cafe racer when it comes out late this year/early next!
Am I mad? YES!
