My 2007/8 Iron 350 Bullet has the std 24mm(?)Mikarb fitted and what looks like an 'alloy' manifold with a pipe fitted to it; well it did until some help in clearing the garage seems to have resulted in this part being binned or lost....

I know some Bullets can have shorter suds and some tufnell spacer or such like but my bike with the longer studs that may be an issue.

Not being an expert and knowing how to change the studs safetly...

I wondered if anyone knew the part number for the 'alloy' manifold on the 350. Seems most straight fwd solution will be to replace it....but dont know the bit I need!

Regards

Did the alloy fitting have an air bleed screw?
Maybe one of the Indian market bullets? I know I've read that they had a manifold with an extra bleed screw.
I'm certainly no expert getting new to the bullet myself but I'm sure sometime can verify or otherwise.
I certainly don't recall seeing such a part in the hitchcocks book of goodies.

Hi,
It's not quite the same as that part which I think / gather were for home market bikes, after talking to our hosts and Watsonian Squire. The later models (mine is a 2007 registered in 2008) seem to have a 10mm or so (maybe a bit wider) alloy flange with a plastic pipe (now screw) sticking out; for when the bike was fitted to the PAV gubbins. Our hosts dont have one, and nor does Watsonian Squire. If anyone has a spare from one of the later 350 Bullets knocking about or anyone who maybe has changed to an amal or a different carb and would like to find a new home for their spare 'flange' than please, please drop me a line. Regards. Mark. [email protected]

hi there ,just get the shorter studs off a 90,s bullet and nuts ,lock 2 nuts on the long stud and undo ,the 10mm alloy spacer is unecessary,i changed mine to short studs and don,t worry you don,t need a mechanicing degree to do it pot a tuffnel spacer between carb & head or just a gasket no probs

yes, take it out and put shorter studs. only the recent models of 350 made in India were fitted with that crap. with shorter studs it is also easy to reach the top screw of the carb if you wish to change the position of the needle.
