Can anyone tell me which brake shoes my 2005 elecrta has? Are they the ones with the ridge or no ridge?His would save me taking them to bits to find out. cheers.

     I'll pull my wheel out today and have a look for you, I have 44,000, ks on mine so about time I had a look anyway

     Electra X has the shoes with the ridge but I can't see any reason why shoes without the ridge wouldn't work. I would assume all the later 5 speed bullets to use the same shoes. Next time I have the rear wheel out of an earlier one I will check

 Meant to add that I have 44,000ks on them and I would say there is possibly another 15/20,000 left. Front pads are original but will check them now to see how they are going

Thanks Norm, thought I have the thing to bits anyway as I've never done it before. Turns out there is plenty left on them.

     While I was at it thought I had better check the disc pads put a new set in, but 44,000ks on a set of pads is pretty good I think, and still on the original front tyre and on my second rear, but sadly 4th motor
