Problem with the OEM piston is that the crown is only attatched on each side above the gudgeon. At least the JP is attatched all the way around the rear giving it much more strength.I have an OEM piston in my crosbred motor which has now done nearly 7,000ks so it is being replaced with an Acralite shortly because it will fail and pull the top off and then it is a pain in the butt to pull it down to clean the junk out. Anybody want low K OEM pistons for free I have a stack of them some with as little as 2,000ks on them

You are my new hero, wish I could alloy weld like that, the last one I broke in a Kawasaki ZZR 600 had to make do with Araldite, now I daren't rev it over 16000 RPM ;-0

 John,

It's not the way we stand that is the problem, it's the fact we don't have back lanes to ride around on most of the time, we ride them hard, over big distances in higher temperatures you people only read about in glossy magazines We might ride for an hour to get a toasted sanger and think nothing of it
