Not really, it's not such a thing these days with the advent of silicone compounds. Remember to take the sticker off though, they can be remarkably persistant and have very poor grip.

I've had a report from someone told me had very bad experience with AM26's in the wet, complained with Avon about it. They said they were still experimenting with compounds (but selling them anyway) and the new ones now should be okay??

They've been about for a long time now. They replaced the roadrunners which have been about since the mid 70's.

They're fitted to bikes with WAY higher performance than any given Enfield too. It was a racer friend who recommended them to me, he had them on his RD500.
