Hello Stinkwheel----------- yes, it was Armstrong ones I had in mind on the Triumph Thunderbird that I mentioned----just couldn't remember the name. (Organic brain fade ???). My Guzzy Cali. 1100i had Brembo pads fitted as standard----as you say they certainly worked ok. Almost half a ton of thundering V-twin iron fully laden on a soaking wet day, 2-up approaching the Foynes Flying Boat Museum, on the Shannon estuary in the Irish republic and brought neatly to a controlled stop as if it were a dry summers day. VERY reassuring !!! PS-- Have a look at their web site--or visit if you can They have a full-size replica of a 1930's flying boat to inspect. Anyone remember the film star Maureen O'Hara ?? She married a flying boat pilot and was instumental in helping to get the museum ------dare I say it ?? " off the ground" !!! Lovely biking country and very friendly , helpful people, despite the rain !!!
